sequel trilogy recommendations
Since 2015, there has been a humble push of extraneous media related to the main sequel trilogy. Being extremely autistic, I've read most of them. Below, you will find my personal recommendations for what to read and/or watch.
- the force awakens novelization - alan dean foster
- before the awakening - greg rucka
- poe dameron free fall - alex segura
- spark of the resistance - justina ireland
- poe dameron: flight log - michael kogge
- age of resistance specials - misc (i personally recommend poe, rose and rey's stories in that order)
- poe dameron (2016) - charles soule
- forces of destiny (animated shorts & comics).
- star wars: allegiance - ethan sacks (the only time he's correctly written poe dameron)
- star wars adventures #17
- star wars adventures #31-32
- legacy of vader - charles soule (ongoing)
- star wars battlefront ii dlc
- star wars resistance*
- star wars: shadow of the sith - adam christopher**
- lego star wars: poe to the rescue***
- the lego star wars holiday special
- lego star wars: terrifying tales
there are more issues of
star wars adventures that feature the cast but that i feel are a little more middling in quality. there's also the finn & poe choose your own adventure story, which isn't particularly memorable (and I'd say, dubiously canon by nature).
*i have only personally watched half of the first season, and every episode featuring poe in it, but i've heard good things about the series
**i haven't finished reading this one, but it's a very good prequel
***released shortly after the force awakens...and it shows
back.
